5 Reasons to Start Your Family in a Condo

There are pros and cons to every style of home and neighbourhood. It’s all a matter of personal preference … but having just moved into a house with our toddler, we’re reminiscing a little about the conveniences of condo living. It doesn’t seem as common in Ottawa to have babies or toddlers in condos but here are our family’s favourite things about the experience.

5. Location

Most condos are in a more central location with great walkability. Walking is much better than driving when you’re sleep deprived. Quick stroller rides to the grocery store, library, the Canal, etc are a lifesaver. Once your lovely baby starts actually sleeping, it’s quick for Dad or Mum to meet up with friends for a nightcap. It’s also easy for visitors from all over the city to drop by. And perhaps most importantly, there are lots of options on UberEats.

4. Underground Parking

No driveway to shovel, no ice to scrape, you get to just park the car and hang out with the fam.

Quick to clean and no yard work to worry about.

2. No Stairs

Everything is on the same floor. No top of the stairs gate to install. No running floor to floor looking for the favourite stuffie, or the diaper bag.
